Concert by "Golden Tree Story " with Camelia Jade & Mike Antone

Sunday, June 2 at 7:00pm - $10

Come listen to the sounds of "Golden Tree Story" - the music of local singer-songwriter, Cynthia Marie, on piano/vocals & her band of stellar Seattle folk & jazz musicians: Cameron Peace on guitar, Rachel Erin Sage on fiddle/vocals, Birch Pereira on bass/vocals, and Dave Bush on percussion.

An "ethereal take on classic folk", their original songs & arrangements are at once refreshing & timeless.  www.goldentreestory.org

Opening the evening are the beautiful vocal harmonies & instrumentals of Camelia Jade and Mike Antone, performing on Chilean instrument "charango", as well as  guitars, lap steel and percussion.  A duo from Seattle and the Snoqualmie Valley, they create a unique blend of folk music from the Pacific Northwest and South America.  Not to be missed!  http://www.reverbnation.com/cameliajademikeantone

Brought to you in part by the Seattle Mayor's Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, this concert will be an opportunity to welcome new families resettled to Seattle, into our music & arts community at ROCKiT space; special guests from the International Rescue Committee, including Erika Grantier, will share stories & introduce us to refugee resettlement in Seattle, and Betty Jean, director of ROCKiT Community Arts will speak about ROCKiT's many opportunities in music, art, dance, and creating community.  For more information about the International Rescue Committee: www.rescue.org
