Seattle Foundation has created a 24 hour opportunity to grow your contributions to ROCKiT. Click the logo on the left to go to the donation site. All funds contributed May 2 - midnight to midnight will be "Stretched" by matching funds.
To make it more fun, you can donate small amounts often through out the day to enter ROCKiT for hourly drawings for a "Golden Ticket" bonus $1000 match each hour. Each donation means another opportunity to win a golden ticket for that hour of the day!
Thank you for your support of art on Beacon Hill!
What's New? We've changed our name! ROCKiT Community Arts is the same great organization it always was, but with a more appropriate name now that we operate out of Beacon Hill's own Garden House and our programming is spread out throughout the "Hill." Beacon Rocks! & ROCKiT Together at Last!
ROCKiT Community Arts was a big partner with Beacon Hill Music in putting on these events. Now Beacon Hill Music has become part of ROCKiT to continue putting on "Beacon Rocks!" and other musical activities on Beacon Hill.
What is "Beacon Rocks!"? Free, outdoor, family friendly performances by musicans and performers, many of them from Beacon Hill.
Where is it? "Beacon Rocks!" events are held on Seattle's one and only (so far) festival street. The Roberto Maestas Festival Street is the block of Lander next to the Beacon Hill Light Rail station.

The "Chair" Project
This ROCKiT project was an ongoing community-building art project that took place over several months beginning in the Summer of 2011. ROCKiT members, and various members of the community, including Jefferson Park Teens, worked to turn rusty old metal chairs donated by Fred Miller of Peace Action of Washington, into beautiful art chairs that can be used by the community. The project was funded by a grant from the Department of Neighborhoods.
We celebrated the wonderful folks who helped make the project happen, including each and every amazing volunteer, at the Beacon Hill Branch of the Seattle Public Library on Saturday, February 4th.
